UNDP Exploratory Grant 1

This initial exploratory engagement was funded by a UNDP Crisis Bureau low-value grant and was for the period between August 1 and October 15, 2020.

The main objective of the UNDP partnership with UW was to connect UNDP country teams and relevant UW–Madison expertise to provide:  

• Technical consultation: Between August 1 and October 15, 2020, the UW–Madison team explored a number of initial conversations but also provided more substantive consultation and technical assistance for five UNDP countries—Kyrgyz Republic, Malawi, Maldives, Sudan and Yemen.
• Capacity building: The UW–Madison working group provided assistance in building capacity in UNDP country teams to support local PPE production. 

This exploratory engagement was renewed by a second UNDP Crisis Bureau low-value grant for the period between October 16 and December 31, 2020.
