UNDP Exploratory Grant 2

This second engagement was funded by a UNDP Crisis Bureau low-value grant and was for the period between October 16 and December 31, 2020.

The main objective of this continuation grant was to connect UNDP country teams and relevant UW–Madison expertise to provide:

  • Technical consultation: Between October 16 and December 31, 2020, the UW–Madison team continued exploring initial conversations and provided ongoing support for six UNDP countries—Kyrgyz Republic, Malawi, Maldives, Sudan, Yemen, and Mozambique
  • Capacity building: The UW–Madison working group continued engaging in capacity building in UNDP country teams to support local PPE production as needed.
  • Engagement framework: The UW–Madison team examined the roadmap and technical assistance instruments developed by various contributors (UW, EWB, UNDP) to create a broader engagement framework for UNDP to utilize in the case of a protracted COVID-19 crisis, as well as for potential use in other crisis response situations.
